Service Description
NodePhone is a new sort of phone service. It allows you to call and communicate with friends, colleagues and others, whether those people are also using NodePhone, or whether they are using a conventional telephone service.
NodePhone lets you place voice calls using your broadband service as the medium that carries your voice, instead of using the 'Plain Old Telephone Service (or POTS) to do it.
When set up in the manner that Internode recommends, the NodePhone service adds new capabilities to your existing phone handsets, and provides access to very attractive 'Internet era', distance-independent call origination rates.
The initial release of NodePhone is a high quality, basic feature set service. It is designed for home and small business users.
In the future we will release additional features intended to enhance your NodePhone experience, and to allow the use of NodePhone in larger business environments.
